As the title of this blog would suggest, I am kind of into words. It wasn’t enough for me to entitle my blog simply “Greg Morrison”, or “Greg’s Thoughts”; I had to come up with some sort of play on words. And speaking played-on words, what about this new and inventive addition to our wwvocabulary? What is a blog, anyway, etymologically speaking? Some sort of contracted elision of “web” and “log”? Or maybe it’s just half “bleary”, half “fog”, like the condition of your eyes after staring at a computer screen too long. Moreover, what sort of editorial standards are upheld for blogs? Is it okay, for example, that I place punctuation marks outside rather than within quotation marks (see above), which I have always thought makes more sense but would incense my ninth grade English teacher? And speaking of incense, does the web world want to read about my discoveries and ponderings on such weighty matters as religion, politics, dollars and cents, or should I keep it light and senseless? These and other questions I intend to get to the blogttom of with my blog. So if you’ve read this far, stay tuned, because you must be a big lover of Greg… which could mean blog is an acronym.
